"There is hope" 2003

It's been a little quiet as the man said. Sand have been blowing from one end of this blog to another part of someone else's browsing history. Nothings stops or ends permanently in the way we think. I started gathering keyboards punches that made up this blog in June 2012. In a way some people have said, a very varied and multifaceted selection of items, medias, colors and themes. Some of the styles depict more about my past visual language wheres others point out the directions of a future, long time ago and a also a present that appears like nothing has happened and never will either.

A structure of steel, concrete or by thoughts made up in your mind. Political nomenclature of the fixed straight lines meet the unorganized surrounding cosmic metamorphosis.

Recently artoblock passed 5000 visits, which I am greatly thankful for. Visitors scattered around the planet have stepped by either frequently or occasionally. The blog which showcases my work could be derived  from a number of different sources and among them early the 20th century expressionism as a strong component.

"Kracks"

Tusch teckning inspirerat av filmen " Dom kallar oss mods" där karraktären Kracks utryckte sin syn på livet, tillvaron och hans polare i modsgänget i Stockholm i slutet utav 1960 talet.

Ink drawing inspired by the movie " They call us Misfits" where a character nicknamned Kracks expressed his outlook on life, the average Joe Bloke and his friends in the mod gang in Stockholm in the end of the 1960s.

 Depicting the character Ruben Karlsson-Larsson. Karlsson-Larsson lived the high life in the 90s but things have changed and after some rough years where he lost his company, car with cheuffeur and worst of all his Batman outfit. Here Ruben is running to catch the bus which will take him to the spare wheel factory where he now works.

"Here we see a bit of the dazzling mystery that takes place somewhere under pre-energy saving light bulbs. There are three characters, first the dancing truck driver who lives the dream of boogie woogie and empty highways, the slightly angry santa figure is written off and finally Sven who accidentally swallen a city."
